The tipping watering can includes a container; and an elongated handle for tipping the container in order to cause liquid in the container to discharge. The handle consists of a U-shaped bracket having a pair of spaced flanges interconnected by a web. The container is pivotally interconnected to each flange. A first rigid elongated rod is connected to the web and a second rigid elongated rod is pivotally connected to the container. The pivotal interconnections between the flanges and the second rod are the only connections between the handle and the container. The container is otherwise unconnected to the handle. By causing the second rod to move relative to said first rod, the can tips.
