METHOD OF STITCHING A BELT OR TREAD TO A CARCASS IN A TIRE BUILDING MACHINE UTILIZING A PNEUMATIC ROLL Abstract of the Disclosure Stitching of tire building components, particularly of breaker belt and tread, is improved by use of an air- inflated rotatable stitching sleeve having reinforcement cords in the sleeve parallel to its rotation axis. Pro- ductivity is improved by application of fluid pressure in the sleeve across the full width of the belt or tread for about one revolution of the carcass before conforming the outward portions of the tread to the carcass.
