A tire for a heavy vehicle, comprising at least four working plies formed of reinforcing elements crossing from one ply to the other and at least one protection ply. According to the invention, the tire is completed on both sides of the median circumferential plane by a single working half-ply, the reinforcing elements of which meet the circumferential direction at an angle greater than 30°, wherein the half ply is a radially inner surface adjacent to the more external radially continuous working ply, its axially outer end being axially outside the ends of the continuous working plies and the reinforcing elements of the half ply, the reinforcing elements of the continuous radially outermost working ply and the reinforcing elements of the protection ply having its end axially outside to the ends of the working plies being oriented in the same direction.
L'invention concerne un pneumatique pour engin lourd, comprenant au moins quatre nappes de travail formées d'éléments de renforcement croisés d'une nappe à la suivante et au moins une nappe de protection. Le pneumatique selon l'invention est complétée de chaque côté du plan médian circonférentiel par une unique demi-nappe de travail dont les éléments de renforcement font avec la direction circonférentielle un angle supérieur à 30°, la demi-nappe étant radialement intérieure et adjacente à la nappe continue de travail radialement la plus à l'extérieur, son extrémité axialement extérieure étant axialement extérieure aux extrémités des nappes continues de travail et les éléments de renforcements de la demi nappe, les éléments de renforcement de la nappe continue de travail radialement la plus à l'extérieur et les éléments de renforcement de la nappe de protection dont l'extrémité est axialement extérieure aux extrémités des nappes de travail étant orientés dans la même direction.
