The invention relates to a tire for heavy vehicle with a radial carcass reinforcement having a width greater than 25 inches comprising at least one working upper reinforcement, comprised of at least one ply of reinforcing elements oriented substantially radially circonferentially, and topped with at least two so-called working plies axially wider than the ply of reinforcing elements oriented substantially circonferentially. According to the invention, each of the working plies is constituted by at least two axially separated parts, the distance between the axially inner end of each of the axially outer parts of at least the radially outermost working ply and the end of the radially outermost ply of the reinforcing elements substantially oriented ciconferentially, being lower than 45 mm and the gap, in the axial direction, between the two parts of each working upper ply being higher than 5 mm.
L'invention concerne un pneumatique pour véhicule lourd à armature de carcasse radiale de largeur supérieure à 25 pouces comportant au moins une armature de sommet de travail, constituée d'au moins une couche d'éléments de renforcement orientés sensiblement circonférentiellement radialement surmontée d'au moins deux couches dites de travail axialement plus larges que la couche d'éléments de renforcement orientés sensiblement circonférentiellement. Selon l'invention, chacune des couches de travail est constituée d'au moins deux parties axialement séparées, la distance entre l'extrémité axialement intérieure de chacune des parties axialement extérieures d'au moins la couche de travail radialement la plus à l'intérieur et l'extrémité de la couche radialement la plus à l'extérieur d'éléments de renforcement orientés sensiblement circonférentiellement étant inférieure à 45 mm et l'intervalle, selon la direction axiale, entre deux parties de chacune des couches de sommet de travail étant supérieur à 5 mm.
