TIRE GRINDING APPARATUS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A tire grinding machine which uses force variation grinding for reducing vibrations transmitted to a vehicle by its tire and wheel assemblies. The tire grinding ma- chine corrects the tire while the tire and wheel assembly is removed from the vehicle. The tire and wheel assembly is positioned on the drive spindle of the machine by a mounting adapter. The grinding machine loads the tire at a peripheral position as it is rotated, spaces a buffer assembly to remove portions of the tire tread in response to force variations at the loaded position.
