Tire with rims presenting the following characteristics: (a) instead of a wire ring, a ring-shaped component is used that has a tensile strength substantially lower than that of a wire ring; (b) at least two reinforcing plies in contact or proximity with the ring-shaped component; (c) the reinforcing plies have a combined tensile strength at least equal to that required of a wire ring; (d) the tire casing is rolled around the ring-shaped component; (e) the outside of the rim comprises an adhesive with an elastic loss modulus (G") of less than 1 MPa and/or an adhesive equal to or not more than 2mm in thickness.

Enveloppe de pneumatique dont chaque bourrelet présente les caractéristiques suivantes: a) il est dépourvu de tringle et il comporte un élément annulaire dont la résistance à la rupture en traction est notablement inférieure à celle nécessaire pour une tringle; b) au moins deux nappes de renfort sont disposées au contact ou à proximité de cet élément annulaire; c) l'ensemble des nappes de renfort a une résistance à la rupture en traction aumoins égale à celle qui serait nécessaire pour une tringle; d) la nappe carcasse s'enroule autour de l'élément annulaire; e) la zone extérieure du bourrelet comporte une gomme ayant un module de perte élastique G" inférieur à 1 MPa et/ou elle comporte une gomme dont l'épaisseur est au plus égale à 2 mm.
