The present invention relates to an improved scaffold which is constructed to mimic the architecture of the native hair follicle. The present invention also relates to the use of specific compositions and methods of manufacture to produce scaffolds that combine biocompatibility with the desired rates of bioabsorption. In another embodiment, the present invention relates to a process for manufacturing a biomimetic hair follicle graft and a method for seeding the graft with cells and implanting the graft into the skin where the growth of a new hair shaft is desired. A further embodiment of the present invention relates to a method for hair multiplication in which cells are multiplied in culture and aliquoted into a multitude of bioabsorbable scaffolds in combination with cultured keratinocytes or other allegoric cells.
La présente invention porte sur un échafaudage amélioré qui est construit pour imiter l'architecture du follicule pileux naturel. La présente invention concerne également l'utilisation de compositions spécifiques et de méthodes de production spécifiques permettant de produire des échafaudages qui combinent la biocompatibilité et les taux désirés de bioabsorption. Dans une autre forme de réalisation, cette invention se rapporte à un procédé de production d'une greffe de follicule pileux biomimétique, à une méthode d'ensemencement de la greffe avec des cellules et d'implantation de la greffe dans la peau à l'endroit où la croissance d'une nouvelle tige capillaire est désirée. Une autre forme de réalisation de la présente invention se rapporte à une méthode de multiplication des cheveux dans laquelle des cellules sont multipliées dans un milieu de culture et aliquotées dans une multitude d'échafaudages bioabsorbables en combinaison avec des kératinocytes cultivés ou avec d'autres cellules allogéniques.
