ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a tissue paper machine including a twin-wire former section which comprises a carrying fabric wire or felt, a covering wire or felt, a smooth forming roll, within the loop of the carrying fabric, on said forming roll the dewatering of the web taking place mainly under effect of centrifugal force while the web is impacted between said wires and a headbox, the improvement in which to reduce the draining pressure in the initial part of the former section and increase the draining pressure by steps, the former section is provided with a single-wire initial part consisting of a run of said covering wire, adjacent to which within the covering wire loop there is disposed at least one dewatering member the web that has dried out in the draining region being transferred onto the upper surface of said carrying wire by a normal table roll effect and upon the carrying wire further to a pick-up means.
