Disclosed are TNF-.alpha. inhibitors containing a heterocyclic compound of the formula: (see above formula) in which ring B is optionally substituted N-containing heterocyclic ring; R1 is a group capable of forming an anion or the like; X is a bond or a spacer; and n is 1 or 2, having angiotensin II antagonistic activity which are useful as preventives/remedies for inflammatory diseases, etc.
