The present invention relates to the use of a TNF Receptor together with a steroid hormone to produce a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of lethal bacterial and viral infections as well as autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. It also relates to said pharmaceutical compositions for the simultaneous, separate or sequential use of its active ingredients for the above specified treatment. In particular, it relates to the use of TBP-1 together with dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) or its metabolites to produce a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of septic shock.

L'invention concerne l'utilisation d'un récepteur de TNF avec une hormone stéroïdienne afin de produire une composition pharmaceutique destinée au traitement d'infections bactériennes et virales létales ainsi que de maladies auto-immunes et inflammatoires. L'invention concerne également lesdites compositions pharmaceutiques destinées à une utilisation simultanée, séparée ou séquentielle e de ses ingrédients actifs dans le traitement ci-dessus spécifié. L'invention concerne notamment l'utilisation du TBP-1 avec une déshydroépiandrostérone (DHEA) ou bien ses métabolites afin de produire une composition pharmaceutique de traitement du choc septique.
