The invention concerns a toaster (1) comprising a frame (3) arranged in a casing (2), at least a vertical grill chamber (5) open at the top part of the casing (2), a peripheral roof (17) at the opening of the grill chamber (5) and integral with the toaster (1), having a top edge (18) provided with openings (20) for receiving rolls, heating elements (4) located in the proximity of the grill chamber (5). The invention is characterised in that at least part of the edge (18) of the roof (17) is raised relative to the top part of the casing (2). Said integrated device for heating bread is associated with specially shaped grills (14) for holding rolls, said grills (14) comprising a top edge (15) substantially perpendicular to said grills (14) and oriented outwards of the chamber (5), so as to partially close the heating chamber, when they are brought closer to each other, thereby deflecting the ascending hot air flow generated by the heating elements (4).

L'invention concerne un grille-pain (1) comportant un bâti (3) agencé dans un boîtier (2), au moins une chambre de grillage (5) verticale ouverte dans la partie supérieure du boîtier (2), un toit périphérique (17) à l'ouverture de la chambre de grillage (5) et solidaire du grille-pain (1), possédant un rebord supérieur (18) muni d'ouvertures (20) pour recevoir des petits pains, des moyens de chauffe (4) situés à proximité de la chambre de grillage (5), caractérisé en ce qu'au moins une partie du rebord (18) du toit (17) est surélevée par rapport à la partie supérieure du boîtier (2). Ce dispositif intégré de réchauffeur de pain est associé à une forme particulière des grilles (14) de serrage du pain, lesdites grilles (14) comportant un rebord supérieur (15) sensiblement perpendiculaire aux dites grilles (14) et orienté vers l'extérieur de la chambre (5), de manière à fermer partiellement la chambre de chauffe, lorsqu'elles sont rapprochées l'une de l'autre, pour ainsi détourner le flux d'air chaud ascendant généré par les éléments chauffants (4).
