The invention concerns a means for stiffening a toaster housing (2), said housing (2) open in its upper part being defined by one or several vertical walls (2a) supported on a base plate. The invention is characterised in that it consists of a ring or a ring portion (30) capable of being mechanically linked with the upper parts of the walls (2a) of the housing (2). For that purpose, the ring can have a cross-section at least partly U-shaped. Advantageously, the ring has low heat conductivity. Said ring is preferably made of a heat-resistant plastic material.

L'invention concerne un moyen de raidissement d'un boîtier (2) de grille-pain, ledit boîtier (2) étant ouvert en sa partie supérieure en étant défini par une ou plusieurs parois verticales (2a) reposant sur une semelle, caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste en une bague ou portion de bague (30) susceptible d'être en liaison mécanique avec les parties supérieures des parois (2a) du boîtier (2). A cette fin, la bague peut présenter une section transversale au moins partiellement en U. Avantageusement, la bague (30) présente une faible conductivité thermique. Elle est préférentiellement réalisée en une matière plastique thermorésistante.
