Said observation means include a lighting means (11) for illuminating the toasting chamber (3a) in such a way that an accurate indication of the colour of the products (15) being prepared is provided. Said toasting apparatus may be used as a toaster.

L'invention concerne un apparareil de grillage pour produits (15) panifiés, constitué d'un bâti (2) pourvu d'une fente d'introduction (3) débouchant sur une chambre de grillage (3a) destinée à recevoir les produits, et disposée entre des éléments chauffants (10) associés à des réflecteurs thermiques (6), lesquels permettent de diriger vers les produits, l'énergie thermique, produite par les éléments chauffants (10), notamment sous forme de rayonnement, ledit appareil étant pourvu de moyens d'observation pour le contrôle visuel du degré de grillage desdits produits (15) placés dans la chambre de grillage (3a).
