As a ball hockey goaltender, I know first hand the reduced effectiveness, control, and protection of not being able to secure the front bottom portion of an ice hockey goalie pad to the toe of a standard athletic shoe. The "Toe Hold" invention is designedto fold over the toe portion of a standard athletic shoe, with slots or holes at the front to thread through a toe strap or lace, respectively, from a goalie pad. Protective pieces, containing slots or holes as well, may also be inserted at the front of he toe area. The "Toe Hold" is then pulled tightly onto the toe area of a standard athletic shoe and secured at the rear heel. My pair of "Toe Holds" has so far lasted five years through a lot of ball hockey, increasing my enjoyment andmy effectiveness in the game. Not to mention a lot less limping.
