A toggle-action dispensing closure (10) is provided for manipulation between a closed, non-dispensing orientation and an open, dispensing orientation that is easily assembled, resists inadvertent opening and has an improved aesthetic appearance for variously shaped closures. The closure includes an actuator (50) rotationally mounted on a housing (14) whereby the housing may be secured to a container (200). The axis of rotation of the actuator is asymmetrically disposed in the housing. The actuator has a rear flange (55) with an articulatable hinge (57) that is longer than its front flange (54). When the closure is securely mounted to a container, the portion (93) of the rear flange below the hinge resiliently contacts the container assisting in preventing inadvertently opening the closure.

L'invention porte sur une fermeture de distribution par basculement (10), pour la manipulation entre une orientation fermée, de non-distribution, et une orientation ouverte, de distribution, qui est facilement assemblée, qui résiste à une ouverture par inadvertance et qui a un aspect esthétique amélioré pour des fermetures de différentes formes. La fermeture comprend un actionneur (50) monté de façon à pouvoir tourner sur un boîtier (14), le boîtier pouvant être fixé à un contenant (200). L'axe de rotation de l'actionneur est disposé de façon asymétrique dans le boîtier. L'actionneur a une bride arrière (55) avec une charnière apte à être articulée (57) qui est plus longue que sa bride avant (54). Lorsque la fermeture est montée fermement sur un contenant, la partie (93) de la bride arrière en dessous de la charnière vient en contact de façon élastique avec le contenant, aidant à empêcher une ouverture par inadvertance de la fermeture.
