In a tool for controlling the escape of water from a toilet reservoir it is known to have a rod float is guided through a bracket attached to the overflow vent and controls the up and down motion of the ball cock that when down shuts off the water escape. In this invention a coil spring is affixed to the rod between the ball cock and the guide bracket. In contrast to the ball cock floating down on top of released water the ball cock is projected through the. water to the escape aperture immediately upon release of the toilet flush handle, prohibiting the escape of unnecessary waste water.
