According to the invention a toilet comprising a seat area (1) and bowl is designed in such a way that the seat area (1) has an extension (5) which makes it possible to sit on said extension (5) facing towards the bowl. In this way, especially male users of the toilet are able to sit on the extension (5) during urination. This prevents unnecessary dirtying of the toilet.
