The invention provides a toilet having a toilet bowl, a toilet seat as well as two footrest members located in a cer- tain distance above the floor, but below the toilet seat. The elongate footrest area of the footrest members extend in an an- gle with the central longitudinal axis of the toilet bowl. The footrest areas of the footrest members are located essentially in front of the toilet bowl. Moreover, the toilet seat is in- clined with reference to the upper horizontal opening of the toilet bowl such as to slope forwardly downwards. In such a toilet, the user is enabled to take a natural, squatting sit- ting posture in which the angle between the thighs and the torso is between 20° and 50° during defecation; thus, the pel- vic musculature is fully relaxed.
L'invention concerne une cuvette de toilette munie, en plus du siège, de deux appuis-pieds à une certaine distance du sol. Les appuis-pieds sont disposés selon un certain angle par rapport à l'axe longitudinal de la cuvette et se prolongent à l'avant de la cuvette. Le siège est incliné vers l'avant par rapport au plan horizontal. Sur une cuvette de ce type, l'utilisateur peut adopter une position assise accroupie dans laquelle les cuisses font avec le buste un angle compris entre 20 et 50 degrés et la musculature du bassin est relâchée pour faciliter la défécation.
