ABSTRACT A positioning system for securing a pane of glass to be adhesively attached to an automotive vehicle body is provided which employs a modified molding carrier for the glass pane which includes a rib for engaging positioning devices carried in a body flange surrounding the glass pane and embodiments of the system are dis- closed in which the modified molding carrier cooperates with tufted strips and positively locking positioning clips .
