TDI residue-based urethane-filled isocyanate compositions are produced by reacting a TDI residue satisfying specified criteria with a monofunctional alcohol in amounts such that the equivalent ratio of isocyanate groups to hydroxyl groups is from about 0.9:1 to about 1:0.9. This reaction product is then dissolved in a diisocyanate or polyisocyanate. These TDI residue-based urethane-filled isocyanate compositions are particularly useful in the production of polyurethanes.

On produit des préparations d'isocyanate contenant un uréthane à base d'un résidu de TDI en faisant réagir un résidu de TDI satisfaisant à des critères bien précis avec un alcool monofonctionnel en quantités telles que le rapport équivalent groupes isocyanate/groupes hydroxyle est compris entre environ 0,9/1 et environ 1/0,9. Ce produit de réaction est ensuite dissous dans un diisocyanate ou un polyisocyanate. Ces préparations d'isocyanate contenant un uréthane à base d'un résidu TDI sont particulièrement utiles dans la production de polyuréthanes.
