A device to perform tone generation while efficently using a broad bit width bus and essentially eliminating the delay from the request for tone expression until its expression. An arithmetic processing device that generates tones reads the data all at once from a memory in which tone data is stored. This is set so that the delay time from when there is a request for tone generation until the tone is actually generated and expressed is negligible.

Cette invention concerne un dispositif qui permet de générer une tonalité tout en utilisant efficacement un bus à grande largeur binaire, et en éliminant sensiblement le retard entre une requête d'émission de tonalité et l'émission proprement dite. Un dispositif de traitement arithmétique, qui génère les tonalités, va lire simultanément toutes les données d'une mémoire où sont stockées les données de tonalité. Ce système permet de rendre négligeable le temps de retard entre le moment où l'on effectue une requête de génération de tonalité, et le moment où la tonalité est réellement générée et émise.
