AN IMPROVED TONER CONTROL SYSTEM FOR AN ELECTROSTATIC REPRODUCTION MACHINE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A predetermined constant intensity of light is directed toward developed and undeveloped portions of a photoreceptor. A first signal is generated corresponding to the difference between the amount of light reflected from each portion, and this signal is compared to a second reference signal to generate a third control signal if the density of the developed portion is not equal to a desired value.
