This invention relates to a toner for developing an electrostatically charged image of a heat roller type copier or printer, the toner consisting essentially of a binder resin, a colorant and a charge control agent, in which the binder resin at least includes a polyolefin resin having a cyclic structure, and a polyolefin resin of a cyclic structure having an intrinsic viscosity (i.v.) of 0.25 dl/g or more, a heat distortion temperature (HDT) by DIN53461-B of 70 °C or higher, and a number average molecular weight of 7,500 or more and a weight average molecular weight of 15,000 or more, as measured by GPC, is contained in a proportion of less than 50% by weight based on the entire binder resin. The toner for developing an electrostatically charged image according to the invention is excellent in fixability, light transmission, and anti-toner spent properties, giving a sharp, high quality image, can be applied to any of a dry one-component magnetic toner, a dry one-component nonmagnetic toner, a dry two-component toner anal a liquid toner, and exhibits marked effects particularly when used in a color toner.
Toner de fixation par laminage à chaud pour développer des images à charge électrostatique, qui comprend principalement une résine de liaison, un colorant et un agent de commande de charge, caractérisé en cela que la résine de liaison comprend au moins une résine de polyoléfine à structure cyclique et contient moins de 50 % en poids d'une résine de polyoléfine à structure cyclique, répondant aux conditions suivantes: viscosité intrinsèque >/= 0,25 dl/g et HDT (température de déformation thermique selon DIN53461-B) </= 70 DEG C et présentant un poids moléculaire moyen en nombre de 7500 ou plus et un poids moléculaire moyen en poids de 15000 ou plus tels que déterminés par chromatographie sur gel. Ledit toner possède d'excellentes propriétés de fixation, de transmittance et d'inhibition de la génération de toner usé, et peut donner des images claires et de haute qualité. En outre, ledit toner est utilisable avec des toners magnétiques secs de type à un seul constituant, des toners non magnétiques secs de type à un seul constituant, des toners secs de type à deux constituants et des toners liquides. En particulier, ledit toner présente des effets remarquables lorsqu'il est utilisé comme toner de couleur.
