The present invention relates to a toner supply insert adapted to be inserted into an empty toner supply cartridge to provide a resupplied cartridge capable of dispensing toner. The toner supply insert comprises a substantially hollow container comprising a generally cylindrical wall having a longitudinal axis, an insert rear portion including a closed end, an insert front portion including an open end, and a transition piece connecting the insert front portion to the insert rear portion. A quantity of toner is provided within the toner supply insert. A seal member caps the open end and includes a tab suitable for removing the seal member. A handle and means for connecting the same to the toner supply insert for removing the insert when the insert is empty.
