ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A jewelry clasp includes a pair of members intercon- nected in a tong-like manner for movement between open and closed positions and biased to the closed position. The members have manually engageable parts enabling them to be moved to the open position, against the action of the biasing bore, by a manually applied aquessing force. One of the members has a tongue and the other member has a tooth which is separated from the tongue in the open position to permit passage of a link therebetween, the tooth being juxtaposed for cooperation with the tongue in the closed position to bar such passage and re- tain the link in assembly with the members.
