A barbecue tongs (20) is provided wherein the arms (21, 22) are yieldingly outwardly biased. The tongs incorporate an arm pivot limiter for each of outward pivotal movement and inward pivotal movement as well as an arm lock that holds the arms in an almost fully jaws closed configuration for convenient storage. The tongs utilize a slidable U-shaped sleeve at the rear end which can have either one of two positions selected by a user. In one position, the arm lock is operational while in the second position the outward pivot limiter is operational.
La présente invention concerne une pince de barbecue (20) dont les bras (21, 22) ont tendance à s'ouvrir. Cette pince comporte, d'une part un limiteur de pivotement des bras agissant aussi bien sur l'ouverture que sur la fermeture, et d'autre part un blocage qui maintient les bras en position quasiment fermée des mâchoires pour permettre un rangement commode. Cette pince utilise un manchon coulissant en U venant à l'extrémité postérieure, et pouvant prendre l'une des deux positions choisies par l'utilisateur. Dans une position, c'est le blocage qui est actif, alors que dans l'autre position, c'est le limiteur en ouverture qui est actif.
