A tongue lid type pack for filter cigarette, comprising a box (2), contents (6) stored in the box (2) and having a cigarette bundle (CB) packaged by a packaging material (8), a tongue lid (16) opening and closing the opening end of the box (2), and guard lugs (30) stuck to both side walls of the box (2). When the tongue lid (16) is in the state before being first opened, the guard lugs (30) are connected to the corresponding side edges of the tongue lid (16) through cut-off lines (28).
