An apparatus and method of measuring a parameter characteristic of a rock formation in an oil well is provided with a device for generating a sensing field within a volume of the rock formation and a device for causing a flow through the volume in the presence of the sensing field, further including sensors responsive to changes in the volume, wherein a sensor response is indicative of the amounts of fluid and changes in the hydrocarbon phase in the formation. Measurements can be made before the flow affects the measuring volume and after onset of the flow through the measuring volume.
L'invention concerne un outil et un procédé destinés à mesurer une caractéristique paramétrique d'une formation rocheuse dans un puits pétrolier. Cet outil comprend un dispositif destiné à générer un champ de détection à l'intérieur d'un volume de la formation rocheuse, un dispositif destiné à faire circuler un flux à travers ledit volume en présence dudit champ de détection, et des capteurs réagissant aux modifications du volume, la réaction des capteurs indiquant les quantités fluidiques et les changements de phase des hydrocarbures de la formation rocheuse. Des mesures peuvent être effectuées avant que le flux ne produise un effet sur le volume à mesurer et après le début de la circulation du flux dans le volume à mesurer.
