The tool (1) is rotatable about an axis A and includes a tool base body (3) with at least one cutting insert (15) facing a machining surface (11) for rough-machining, and a grinding element (9) for finishing the workpiece. The grinding element (9) is adjustable relative to the tool base body (3) from a retracted rest position towards the machining surface into a machining position. In this way, a combined milling and grinding tool is realized with simple constructional means.
