ABSTRACT There is described a tool assembly for use in pneumatic tools such as scabblers and scalers. The tool assembly is in the form of a piston which is surrounded by a sleeve fixed to the piston by means of a locating pin passing through corresponding apertures in the piston and sleeve. A tool holder carrying tool bits is fitted within the lower part of the sleeve. There is also described alternative means for fixing the tool holder within the sleeve. In the arrangement of the invention the tool holder accordingly forms a relatively small volume of metal thereby facilitating brazing of tool bits to the holder and inexpensive replacement.
