A tool chest includes a lidded base defining a storage compartment therein and a pegboard-type tool pallet adapted to carry tools on an obverse side thereof and shiftable between a first position overlying and covering the storage compartment with the obverse side up, and a second position upstanding from the rear end of the base with the obverse side forward and supported against the open lid for uncovering and providing access to the storage compartment. In one embodiment the pallet is pivotally connected to the base with a link arm and has handles for lifting the pallet between its first and second position. In a second embodiment the pallet is pivotally connected to the lid so that when the lid is opened it pulls the pallet up to its second position. The front end of the pallet has pins or rollers supported on guide rails for guiding movement between the first and second positions.
La présente invention concerne une boîte à outils constituée par un compartiment de rangement fermé par un couvercle et comportant un panneau perforé dont la face supérieure est destinée à recevoir des outils, lequel panneau peut adopter une première position dans laquelle il ferme le compartiment de rangement en présentant sa face supérieure, et une deuxième position relevée contre le couvercle où la face supérieure est occultée et le compartiment de rangement ouvert. Dans une variante, le panneau perforé est articulé au compartiment de rangement au moyen d'un bras articulé et comporte des poignées permettant de le déplacer de la première à la deuxième position. Dans une autre variante, il est articulé au couvercle, de sorte que lorsqu'on relève le couvercle, le panneau est automatiquement relevé dans la deuxième position. Le devant du panneau est doté d'axes ou de rouleaux se déplaçant dans des éléments de guidage pour guider le déplacement du panneau de la première à la deuxième positions.
