The invention relates to a tool for machining composite material parts and to a machine tool provided therewith. The inventive tool is provided with a substantially cylindrical main body which comprises a polishing part (1) having a diameter R1 and a main axis (2) and an abrasive part (3) whose diameter R2 is smaller than the diameter R1 (R2<R1) and which is centred with respect to said main axis. In addition, the abrasive part is provided with at least one cutting element (5) on the end (4) thereof enabling the tool to be driven into composite material parts, wherein said cutting element is provided with a cavity embodied in the form of an inverted truncated cone.

L'invention concerne un outil pour l'usinage de pièces en matériaux composites et une machine d'usinage comprenant un tel outil. L'outil a un corps principal sensiblement cylindrique. Selon l'invention, ce corps principal comporte une partie de polissage (1) de diamètre Rl ayant un axe principal (2) et une partie abrasive (3) de diamètre R2 avec R2<R1, cette partie abrasive étant centrée sur ledit axe principal. De plus, la partie abrasive comporte à son extrémité (4) au moins un élément coupant (5) destiné à permettre des plongées de l'outil dans les pièces en matériaux composites, ledit élément coupant étant un creux en forme de tronc de cône inversé.
