ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A cutting tool for stripping cables and wires comprises two pivotable gripping cheeks provided with cutting edges. The cheeks are pivoted about an axis of symmetry of the tool between an open position in which the cable is in- serted into the tool and a closed position in which the cut- ting edges produce a circular cut in an insulation sheath of the cable. -1-
