ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A tool for forming, at the end of a fastener, driver engageable surfaces, comprising a body portion having an axis and having an end region lying along the axis and of a shape complementary to that of the driver engageable surfaces to be formed. Means forming at least one elongated groove in at least one surface of the end region such that the groove extends along and is substantially symmetrical about a plane which is parallel to the axis.
