ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A tool is described for compression of split flanges. The tool comprises two pins disposed generally transversely and sideways from a threaded rod, each pin being associated with a boss. The compression of the flange is effected by a nut engaging one of the bosses. The engaged boss is slidably secured to the rod. The other boss is fixedly secured to the rod. The invention simplifies and facilitates the operation of compressing a split flange. The tool of the invention is extremely simple and is capable of withstanding rough handling typical for operations in a pipeline assembly or the like.
