A B S T R A C T A tool for rotating an element includes a ring having a peripheral surface defining ratchet teeth with gaps therebetween. A pawl arrangement drivingly engages the teeth upon rotation of the tool in a first direction and is free running upon rotation of the tool in an opposite direction. The pawl arrangement has at least two catches, a projection carried by one of the catches for engaging flanks of the teeth, and a spring for biasing the projection towards the flanks.
