ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A tool storage magazine includes a frame, a tool storage ring, a guide ring attached to the tool storage ring, a base plate slidably mounted on the frame for movement between a parked position and a transfer position; and a plurality of rollers rotatably mounted on the base plate and positioned to engage the guide ring to rotatably attach the guide ring to the base plate; the magazine can be used with an automatic tool changer for machine tools which is less expensive, more reliable and requires less space than previous tool changers.
