ABSTRACT. A process for producing a tooth brush (10') with at least three head portions (13, 14, 15), which are mutually separated from each other in pairs by means of an inter- mediate cavity (11, 12). The head portions (13-15) are angled relative to each other about an axis (14a, 15a) parallel to an associated cavity (11, 12) after associated bristle groups (19) are fixed in place and after a local heating of the tooth brush head is effected. The tooth brush head (lOa) is subjected to a local heating at the bottom (11a,12a) of each of the cavities (11,12), in that a heat conducting means (21) is introduced into each cavity (11, 12) for heating the cavity at the bottom of same. The angling is effected about a respective of said axes (14a, (15a) which are arranged on the bristle-carrying side of the tooth brush head, that is to say just at the bottom (lla, 12a) of the associated cavity (11, 12) A blank for carrying out the process has the cavities (11, 12) arranged on the back side of the tooth brush head, that is to say on the side opposite the bristle-carrying side of the tooth brush head. The longi- tudinal axes (14a, 15a) for angling the head portions (13, 14, 15) relative to each other are arranged on or at the bristle-carrying side of the head portion directly oppo- site the associated cavity (11, 12). 31 A tooth brush has the cavities (11, 12) arranged on the back side of the tooth brush head. The bristle groups in the middle head portion are terminated in alignment with the bristle groups in the innermost rows of bristle groups of the two outer head portions. The bristle groups of the two outer head portions extend obliquely towards each other in alignment with the bristle groups of the middle head portion.
