ABSTRACT A toothbrush having a conically tapering stem-like grip with an essentially circular cross-section, whereby the bristle carrier, which is rounded on its back, extends toward the center axis at an angle between about 25° to about 35°. In the bend region the grip tapers conically to form a rear- side depression. A short bristle zone is disposed in the front portion of the bristle carrier and is directed toward the center axis of the grip.
