Abstract TOOTHBRUSH A toothbrush having an elongated handle portion and an integral head portion which is elongated but normally shorter than the handle portion with both portion being substantially flat and lying in a common plane. The head portion includes an elongated shaft which extends from a juncture with the handle portion to a terminal bristle support section; the length of said head portion being sufficient to permit the bristle support section to reach the molars of a user when the juncture between the head and handle portions is positioned adjacent the lip of the user. A plurality of bristles are fixed to the bristle support section of the head portion and project therefrom in a direction generally perpen- dicular to said common plane. The axis of said head portion is disposed at an acute angle relative to the axis of the handle portion, and the bristles extend in the direction of the axis of the head portion. The acute angle is in the range of from five to thirty degrees and, in the preferred form, is approximately fifteen degrees.
