The present invention relates to a toothbrush which exhibits superior interproximal and gingival margin cleaning. The toothbrush includes an elongated handle member (12) connected to a toothbrush head member (14). The head is divided into a "toe" (20) and "heel" (22) region. A multiplicity of bristles (24) extend from the heel portion, the distal ends of these bristles form a longitudinally aligned concave shape (28) when viewed on end. A multiplicity of bristles (30) extend from the toe region of the head wherein these bristles are at least as tall as the general height of the bristels extending from the heel portion when viewed from the side and wherein the side profile view of the distal ends of the bristles extending from the toe portion form a generally linear surface which forms an angle relative to the general plane of the bristles extending from the heel portion.
La présente invention porte sur une brosse à dents offrant un nettoyage supérieur de la cavité interproximale et du rebord marginal de la gencive. La brosse à dents comporte un manche allongé (12) relié à la tête (14) qui est divisée en deux parties : la «pointe» (20) et le «talon» (22). Une multitude de poils (24) se trouvent sur le talon; lorsque la brosse à dents est observée par son extrémité, les extrémités distales des poils donnent une forme concave (28) dans le sens de la longueur. Une multitude de poils (30) se trouvent également sur la pointe de la tête; lorsque la brosse à dents est observée de côté, ces poils sont au moins aussi longs que ceux se trouvant sur le talon. En outre, le profil latéral des extrémités distales des poils, se trouvant sur la pointe, donne une surface généralement linéaire qui forme un angle par rapport au plan général des poils se trouvant sur le talon.
