A toothbrush has a head, an array of bristles, a handle and an elongated neck. The head has a longitudinal axis. The array of bristles is secured to the head and extends outwardly therefrom. The handle is offset from the head in a direction parallel to the axis. The elongated neck is interposed between the head and the handle. The neck mechanically couples the head to the handle and offsets the handle from the head in the direction. The handle has an elongated member and a single, non-bifurcated first hook shaped member coupled to the elongated member at a first location adjoining the neck. The first hook shaped member has a first free spaced from the elongated member. The handle further has a single non-bifurcated, second hook shaped member mechanically coupled to the elongated member at a second location spaced a distance from the elongated member from the first location. The second hook shaped member has a second free end spaced from the elongated member. The first and second hook shaped members are of substantial mirror images of one another and are mutually opposed to hook toward one another. The first free end and the second free end are mutually spaced from one another to define a gap between the first free end and the second free end. The gap has a clearance not exceeding the distance between the first location and the second location.
