Abstract of the Disclosure The present invention provides in an oil-free polyester top coating composition consisting essentially of (1) a binder composed of (A) an oil- free polyester and (B) an aminoaldehyde resin and (2) a pigment, the improve- ment wherein said polyester (A) has a hydroxyl value of 60 to 150 and the polybasic acid component of said polyester contains at least 75 mole % of a saturated alicyclic polybasic acid, the weight ratio of said component (A) to said component (B) is from 90:10 to 60:40, and the amount of said pigment is 3 to 50 PHR.
