A top coating composition comprising: (A) A hydroxyl-containing vinyl resin containing 40 to 90 wt.% of an aromatic hydrocarbon ring-containing vinyl monomer as a monomer component, optionally in combination with (B) a hydroxyl-containing polyester resin, (C) hexamethoxymethylmelamine and/or an etherified melamine resin obtained by substituting a part or the whole of the methoxy groups in hexamethoxymethylmelamine by an alkoxy group monovalent alcohol having at least 4 carbon atoms, (D) a particulate polymer having an average particle diameter of 0.01 to 1 µm, and (E) a polysiloxane compound represented by the formula [I]. The coating composition of the present invention can form a coating film excellent in performance characteristics such as stain resistance, flexibility, weather resistance, scratch resistance, processability, acid resistance, gloss, etc., especially in stain resistance, acid resistance, flexibility and gloss.
Composition de revêtement superficiel renfermant (A) une résine vinylique hydroxylée à base de 40 à 90 % en poids d'un monomère vinylique contenant un noyau aromatique comme constituant monomère, facultativement en combinaison avec (B) une résine de polyester hydroxylée, (C) de l'hexaméthoxyméthylmélamine et (ou) une résine de mélamine éthérifiée obtenue par substitution totale ou partielle des groupes méthoxy dans l'hexaméthoxyméthylmélamine par un alcool monovalent renfermant un groupe alcoxy, comptant au moins 4 atomes de carbone, (D) un polymère spécifique dont les particules ont un diamètre moyen de 0,01 à 1 micron, (E) un polysiloxane représenté par la formule (I). La composition de revêtement de la présente invention peut donner une pellicule de revêtement possédant d'excellentes caractéristiques en ce qui concerne la flexibilité, la résistance aux taches, aux intempéries, aux éraflures et aux acides, la transformabilité, le brillant, etc., et tout particulièrement la résistance aux taches et aux acides, ainsi que la flexibilité et le brillant.
