A top unloading milking claw (10) includes a high impact transparent plastic lower bowl (12) and a stainless steel upper top (14). The claw has a plurality of deflectors (50, 52, 54, 56) on the inner surface (48) of the lower bowl (12) and spaced radially outwardly of the vertical riser outlet tube (28) by an annular gap (58) therebetween. The deflectors (50, 52, 54, 56) reduce tangential velocity of milk flow along the inner surface (48) of the bowl (12) by intercepting such tangential milk flow and redirecting the intercepted milk flow inwardly and downwardly along the inner surface (48) toward the bottom of the bowl (12) to fill the space (38) between the lower end (36) of the outlet tube (28) and the bottom of the bowl (12), to maximize the air pressure differential across the surface of the milk, between the ambient air pressure within the claw and the vacuum within the outlet tube, to maximize milk flow capacity of the claw (10).

Un collecteur de machine à traire (10) à évacuation par le haut comporte un bol inférieur transparent en plastique (12) à résistance élevée aux impacts et un haut en acier inoxydable (14). Le collecteur a une pluralité de chicanes (50), (52), (54), (56) sur la surface interne (48) du bol inférieur (12) espacées radialement vers l'extérieur par rapport au tube de sortie montant vertical (28), par un interstice annulaire (58). Les chicanes (50), (52), (54), (56) diminuent la vitesse tangentielle du lait le long de la surface interne (48) du bol (12) en interceptant un tel écoulement tangentiel et en dirigeant le flux de lait intercepté vers l'intérieur et vers le bas le long de la surface interne (48) vers le bas du bol (12), pour remplir l'espace (38) entre l'extrémité inférieure (36) du tube de sortie (28) et le bas du bol (12), de manière à maximiser la différence de pression d'air au niveau dela surface du lait entre la pression ambiante dans le collecteur et le vide à l'intérieur du tube de sortie, pour optimiser la capacité du collecteur (10) en termes de débit.
