This invention relates to a coating composition comprising (a) at least one binder and (b) at least one filler having a surface area of at least about 1 m2/g and wherein a topcoat derived from the coating composition is printable with a UV curable ink-jet ink. The invention also relates to an article with an ink receptive printing layer, comprising a substrate having a topcoat, wherein the topcoat is printable with UV curable ink-jet inks. The topcoats provide a printable surface for UV curable ink-jet inks. The print shows superior liquid resistance. The print quality of the UV curable inks is improved and a reduction in bleeding of colors occurs.
La présente invention concerne une composition de revêtement qui comprend (a) au moins un liant et (b) au moins une matière de charge possédant un pouvoir couvrant d'au moins 1 m?2¿/g. Un revêtement supérieur dérivé de cette composition de revêtement peut être imprimé avec une encre pour jet d'encre qui sèche aux U.V.. Cette invention concerne aussi un article pourvu d'une couche d'impression réceptive à l'encre, qui comprend un substrat possédant un revêtement supérieur, ce revêtement supérieur pouvant être imprimé avec des encres pour jet d'encre qui sèchent aux U.V.. Ce revêtement supérieur offre une surface imprimable destinée à des encres pour jet d'encre qui sèchent aux U.V.. L'impression présente une résistance aux liquides supérieure. La qualité d'impression de ces encres qui sèchent aux U.V. est améliorée et on constate une diminution de la solubilité des couleurs.
