There is provided a topical aqueous cleansing composition. The composition has about 0.05 wt% to about 20 wt% of one or more waxes having a melting point of about 70~ C or more, an anionic surfactant and an additional surfactant selected from the group consisting of a nonionic surfactant, an amphoteric surfactant, and a combination of a nonionic surfactant and an amphoteric surfactant in an amount effective to stabilize the wax in the composition, and about 20 wt% or more water. There is also provided a method for cleansing and/or moisturizing a keratinous surface.

La présente invention a trait à une composition de nettoyage aqueuse à usage topique. La composition comporte environ 0,5 % à environ 20 % en poids d'une ou de plusieurs cires présentant un point de fusion égale ou supérieur à environ 70 ·C, un tensioactif anionique et un tensioactif additionnel choisi parmi le groupe constitué d'un tensioactif non ionique, d'un tensioactif amphotère, et d'une combinaison d'un tensioactif non ionique et d'un tensioactif amphotère en une quantité efficace pour stabiliser la cire dans la composition, et environ 20 % ou plus en poids d'eau.
