The present invention provides topical compositions comprising high surface area zinc oxide, having a surface area between 30 m2/g and 100 m2/g and an average particle size between 0.1 and 200 µm in diameter, said high surface area zinc oxide being present in an amount sufficient to absorb liquids from parts of the body to which the topical composition is applied. The compositions are particularly good at absorbing sweat, sebum, urine and water, making them suitable for treating acne, athletes foot and nappy rash.
La présente invention concerne des compositions topiques comprenant de l'oxyde de zinc à superficie utile importante, ayant une surface utile comprise entre 30 m?2¿/g et 100 m?2¿/g et une granulométrie moyenne comprise entre 0,1 et 200 µm en diamètre, ledit oxyde de zinc à superficie utile importante étant présent en une quantité suffisante pour absorber des liquides des parties du corps sur lesquelles la composition topique est appliquée. Les compositions de l'invention sont particulièrement efficaces pour absorber la sueur, le sébum, l'urine et l'eau, ce qui les rend tout indiquées pour le traitement de l'acné, de l'épidermophytie et de l'érythème fessier du nourrisson.
