Disclosed are topical formulations comprising an androstane steroid, propylene glycol, and benzyl alcohol in an amount effective to dissolve the androstane steroid compound, wherein the amount of benzyl alcohol is not effective to act as a penetration enhancer. The formulations are useful for the treatment of inflammatory and/or pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses.

L'invention concerne des formulations locales comprenant un stéroïde androstane, du glycol propylène, et de l'alcool benzylique dans une quantité efficace pour dissoudre le composé de stéroïde androstane, caractérisées en ce que la quantité d'alcool benzylique n'est pas efficace pour faire office de promoteur de pénétration. Les formulations servent au traitement de manifestations inflammatoires et/ou pruritiques de dermatoses réagissant aux corticostéroïdes.
