A torque reduction sub includes a tubular main body having a first end, a second end and an exterior surface. A male pin connection is provided at the first end of the main body. A female box connection is provided at the second end of the main body. A sleeve is rotatably mounted to the exterior surface of the main body between the first end and the second end. The sleeve has a first end, a second end and an interior surface. A lubricant filled bearing chamber is disposed between the exterior surface of the main body and the interior surface of the sleeve. The bearing chamber has a first end and a second end. A first seal assembly is disposed at the first end of the bearing chamber. A second seal assembly is disposed at the second end of the bearing chamber. At least one radial bearing disposed within the bearing chamber. At least one thrust bearing assembly disposed within the bearing chamber. The at least one thrust bearing assembly is separate from the at least one radial bearing.
